I am a firm believer that you shouldn't really wash your hair every single day. My friends have been mocking me for my hair routine and they always say that I am just too lazy to wash my hair. Well, that's also one factor lol.
Because not washing your hair can be a bit irritating especially with the weather we have here, the solution is to use a dry shampoo. I have been looking for the perfect dry shampoo that will fit my budget. I have tried using the one from Bench before which I think is only Php175. It works fine but I find that the product really doesn't last that long. It would be empty in just 2 weeks of usage. So I tried another Dry Shampoo by a line called Hello Gorgeous. It is sold at Php220. The ingredients are all simple and natural (Arrow Root Powder, Lavender Essential Oil, Tea Tree Oil and Water). The packaging looks so cute and the bottle doesn't break easily. What I don't like about this is the powder ingredient that has dried and settled at the bottom. I thought at first that the spray bottle is broken but when I opened it up, I saw that the powder is stuck in between the hose connection so it stops the product from coming out of it. I tried shaking it but the powder doesn't melt. I had to break the bottle and get the powder at the bottom. I placed it on top of a boiling or hot water to melt it. It was such a hassle. I don't know if it's just a rare case and that maybe this only happened to me, but if all of their products are like this, then that would be such a disappointment. When the powder has successfully melted, I transferred it to another spray bottle with no hose connection, like the one used for colognes. The product itself is good. When I tried spraying it on my hair, I instantly felt the result. It got rid of the oils in my hair. When your hair has completely dried, it would feel like your hair is a bit powdery. You know that feeling when you sprinkle powder on your hair, that's what it feels like. It doesn't bother me, though. But if you don't like that feeling, this product might not be for you because the feeling lasts for quite a while. It doesn't have a smell which is okay because I would prefer it rather than having a strong scent on my hair. I liked that it really lasted for a few hours longer than the one I tried from Bench. I used it in the afternoon and it still feels dry by midnight. I would give this product a 3 out of 5 stars. It is really great except for the hassle that I went through just to melt the powder inside. I had to shake the bottle every now and then and I am not ready for that kind of commitment. I say that it's great especially given that it's a homemade product and the ingredients are all natural. It has a generous amount with 100 ml of product in it. I don't think I would repurchase it if there will still be a problem with the bottle. But for those looking for a cheaper dry shampoo alternative, you might want to try this.

So I recently got free samples of Dr Belmeur products from The Face Shop, and I tried using them for a few weeks. This is totally not sponsored and you get these free samples when you buy from The Face Shop. Their products have two categories. One is "Daily Repair" which is for dry and delicate skin and the other is "Clarifying" which is for oily and blemished skin. I have combination skin and the samples I've received are a mixed of both category so I tried all of them. Not all at once, though. I would include one product at a time on my skin care routine and once it's empty I would make a review. Basically, this review of all the products took quite a while to finish but I do hope this will help you decide whether you want to try them out or not. Here are my honest opinions on each product. Foam Cleanser (Daily Repair) This is a very gentle cleanser. I like foamy cleansers because the bubbles make me feel like the product really does the job of getting rid of all the oils and dirt from my face. This product, though, is not as foamy as the other cleansers I have used before. However, you can still feel like your face becomes really clean after. It smells like a dishwashing liquid which doesn't bother me because it is a clean smell and it's not too strong, but if you don't like that kind of smell, that might be a little turn off for you. After washing my face, it doesn't feel tightening. My skin feels soft and it does not irritate my sensitive skin. Toner Lotion Tonique (Daily Repair) This comes in a bottle where you can twist off the cap to get some product. I actually didn't like its packaging because it's hard to control how much product will come off. The opening is as big as the cap itself if you were to imagine that. I had this horrible experience where I accidentally bumped it without the cap and all of the products spilled. Also when I was still using it, I didn't like how it felt on the skin. It's a bit tacky. It is probably because it has a lotion kind of formula. It really does feel like you put on a lotion on your face. It's a bit thicker than other toners I've tried. The stickiness, however, is gone once you put on your moisturizer. The skin absorbs it easily and it doesn't break out my sensitive skin. Moisturizer Hydratant (Daily Repair and Clarifying) I have tried the moisturizer both from the Daily Repair and Clarifying Collection. It feels the same so I am just writing down one review for both of them. This moisturizer feels very light on the skin. A little goes a long way, indeed. It is clear and I don't think it has a strong scent. The skin absorbs it easily and it doesn't feel sticky at all. I really like this product. The Clarifying Moisturizer was the one that worked best for me since I have oily skin. It definitely helped in controlling the oil in my face. Daily Repair Ato Salt Cream At first, I did not know what it is used for. It does not have any instruction on the packaging so I had to look up its purpose. I learned that it has mineral salt cream for deep moisturization and itch relief for dry skin. It definitely looks and feels like a regular moisturizer. It does not have small particles of sea salt as I was expecting. It feels very light on the skin and a little goes a long way as well. However, since my skin is oily, the product does not get absorbed as fast. This product is really for dry skin. It does not have a scent at all so if you prefer that, you might want to try it out. Plus it is not only used for the face, so if you have dry areas on your arms or legs, you can apply it there. These products are a bit pricey but if you have sensitive skin and you haven't found your perfect cleanser or moisturizer yet, you might want to give it a shot. I have a sensitive skin but it did not break me out. All of these are very gentle and I like how the packaging looks. It is very simple which makes it aesthetically pleasing.
1. Ask for a photo
This is definitely one of the things people do during meet and greets. Some M&Gs have an official photographer, meaning there will only be one photo and if it that didn’t turn out good, there’s not much you can do. Usually, these photos will be uploaded on their facebook page and you have to download these yourself. I don’t like this because the photos become low quality and it takes days for them to upload. What you can do if this happens, you can have a friend that is next in line to take a photo of you and the artist. It may kind of look like a BTS photo but it’s alright. It might even turn out better than the one taken by the official photographer. Some M&Gs, however, allow you to take a selfie with the artist. Grab this chance and you can even have another camera because there will be some staff willing to take a photo for you if you ask them nicely. That way, you can have two pictures: one that is a selfie and the other one taken of you. 2. Ask for a video greet As I have said, some M&Gs don’t allow you to bring a phone and take a picture with it. If you are a rebel and don’t follow the rules, do this at your own risk. I was actually once a rebel myself. I asked Tanner Patrick to greet my friend on a video. His security said it’s not allowed but Tanner was nice enough he didn’t listen to his security LOL. I also saw someone who was facetiming her friend while she was meeting LaurDIY and Lauren talked to her for a few seconds which was super nice. Although, those that allow you to take a selfie with the artist, they are also the ones that let you take a video of them. This type of M&G is mostly during festivals where it’s fine to vlog. You can film your experience of meeting them and if you have a YouTube channel, you can even ask them to tell the viewers to subscribe to you. 3. Be creative during the photo op This picture will serve as your memory of meeting your fave. If you want it to be more memorable, don’t just take normal photos. Take it up a notch, girl. Be crazy. Hug them, kiss them, hold hands with them. Ask them to do insane photos with you. Look for inspiration online. There are loads of M&G poses you can try. These artists have met numerous people and you don’t want to be forgotten so be as crazy as you can. I even saw someone proposing to Connor Franta with a chicken nugget. I myself asked Alex Wassabi to adopt me. Was that embarrassing? Yes. But did I regret doing it? No. It turned out Alex remembered me and when I tweeted our adoption paper, he was the first person to like it. Let your favourite artist know your existence. 4. Ask for a signature I just don’t want you to forget it. You might be all excited and nervous to be meeting the love of your life and there’s a huge chance you might forget to do this. Prepare a notebook or paper and pen in your bag. This could come in handy. You could even ask them to sign your shirt. 5. Tell them why you’re a fan Talk to them if you have a chance. This is the time where you can turn your tweets in real life. Tell them why you’re a fan. They like to listen to your stories. This will also give them a reassurance that you are indeed a true fan and you genuinely want to meet them. They are people too and not just robots you take a picture with and then just go. 6. Ask how they are They may have met 100 people that day and you are the first person to ask how they are feeling. It may be a simple and small thing to do but it will make them feel good. 7. Talk to them about their performance M&Gs can happen before or after the show. If it’s before, you can tell them how you’re looking forward to their performance. If it’s after, you can tell them how much you’ve enjoyed the show. 8. Thank them This is another one of those moments where you can turn your tweets to verbal words. If you always tweet how they have helped and inspired you, this is the time where you can personally tell it to them. 9. Say I love you It might be the only time where you can let them know how much you love them. Besides, if the M&G is too fast, these can be the only words you can really say. Most of them will reply with “I love you, too” so you can have this memory of your fave telling you that he/she loves you. That’s a short but sweet memory. 10. Give your presents Prepare your letters or fanarts. You can give it to them personally or there will be a box where you can leave it. Artists appreciate these and they even post on their social media about the gifts they received. If you are good at drawing or making artworks, give it to them or have them sign it. If there’s this thing you found that reminds you of your fav or something that you know your fav is going to like, go buy it. You could even make a scrapbook or any DIY that tells them reasons why you love them. M&Gs can be too fast so this is where you can write everything you want to tell them. There’s more chance of them reading those than flooding them on Twitter with loads of other fans. You can also be nice and hand them presents from fans who can’t be there. It is okay if you don’t have presents, though, so don’t feel obligated. Remember that just your support for them is more than enough. I used to be that person. When I started making my twitter account, I thought those who have a lot of followers were cool people. It is as if your twitter ratio matters. The rule is that you should have more followers than following. Well I am no expert here but based from my 6 years on Twitter, these are the things that I have observed to be working.
1. Tweet relatable stuff If you tweet relatable stuff, there’s a big possibility that people might retweet you. When they do, their followers will see your tweet. Chances are they might also check out your account and they might decide to follow you... then they might also retweet you... and the cycle will continue. 2. See what’s trending Watch out for whatever is trending in your country or worldwide. Tweet something about it. Use your wits. If people agree with your opinion, they will retweet or like you. Your tweet might even go viral. This way, people will check out your account and some of them will definitely follow you. 3. Be an active fan/update account Fan/update accounts usually have a lot of followers. It is because people who are on the same fan base follow them. Since this fan/update accounts post updates and pictures about their idols, other people tend to follow them to be updated as well. These are also the fan accounts who post memes and everything relatable about their idol. 4. Do giveaways A lot of people watch out for giveaways. And when you do giveaways, one of the rules could be to follow your account. Another rule could also be them retweeting you. That way, more people will know about your giveaway which means more followers. 5. Follow more people You might want to do this if you don’t even check your timeline. If you do, this will surely bother you. Following a lot of accounts will make your timeline messy. But this thing works that I even see some verified accounts doing this trick. I know Bart Baker does it. He followed me once. He seemed familiar and I checked out his account for me to find out that he’s a YouTuber. I decided to follow him back but after a few days, he unfollowed me. That’s one of the ways he gains followers. There’s no guarantee that all people will follow you back but at least half of them will. Then you can just unfollow them after some time. 6. Search for follow trains This will affect your image so do this at your own risk. Follow trains are those tweets with “Follow everyone who RTs” or “RT for 100 free follows”. There’s also no guarantee that all people who RT will follow you, or if you RT that tweet, you will really get 100 followers. But there is no harm in trying. Some accounts still do this. But as I have said, it will affect your image since your followers will see that you RT those tweets and they might think that your followers are not real. These are just some of the tricks that work on Twitter. Like what I said, I used to think that those who have more followers are way cooler but now I don’t. For me, Twitter isn’t a venue for who’s got more followers or not, it is a platform where I can be myself. My family doesn’t know I have Twitter. This is where I post about random and nonsense stuff I just want to get out of my head. But if you want more followers, you could just do the things I listed above. I have done some of those, too. Just a reminder that you should not get validation based on the number of followers you have. You are cool in your own weird way. Hi. This is me at 19 and these are 19 things about me.
