Hydra Balance Gentle Cream Cleanser (for combination skin) This product reminds me of Cetaphil. It is super gentle you don't feel anything on your skin. It doesn't have any smell. It doesn't foam up on your face. It's just like washing your face with a cream. Well, duh, G, that's why it's called a cream cleanser and not a foam cleanser. I thought I wouldn't like it at first because I prefer foam cleansers since I feel like with the bubbles, my skin gets thoroughly cleaned. But I like this one because if you use a generous amount, you also feel like you skin gets cleaned. My face feels smoother after. What I really like about this is that it doesn't even hurt my eyes even if the product gets on them. It just proves how gentle and safe it really is. Even kids over 9 can use this. Armada Baby 50+
This one is a sunscreen and I really like the fact that it has SPF50. I thought it would be perfect since whenever I go to school, the scorching heat of the sun welcomes me and it does no good to my skin. I was so excited to use it when I got it. It is so gentle and the product is claimed to be good even for babies use. What I don't like about it is the consistency. You know that feel when a toothpaste has dried up a bit? That was what it felt like on the skin whenever I apply it. It was hard to blend on my face since it is more solid than of liquid consistency which is what we expect from sunscreens. Since it was difficult to blend, my face always ends up looking so white like I wore a chin chun su. Okay, I may be exaggerating but my classmate even asked me what the hell was I doing in the blackboard because it looked like I had chalk all over my face. She was serious about it so I tried to find a solution. I figured that to blend it easily, I had to put on a lot of moisturizer first so my face will be so much more smoother. It helped but this lazy girl is not up for that much work. Plus my face gets super oily if I layer a lot of moisturizer on it. If you are ready for that kind of commitment, though, this product might be for you. It really does its job of protecting your skin from the harmful rays of the sun. It does not feel heavy on the skin. It is tacky at first but once it is absorbed by your skin, you will not feel anything at all. I don't know if it's just me but usually whenever I am under the sun without sunscreen on, I always get this weird feeling (I don't know what it's called but it feels like there's a burning sensation but not really) under my eyes. Whenever I use this product, I feel fine. I think that's enough proof that it works because it protects my skin. So yeah, my heart is divided with this one. I wanted to like the product but I have a huge problem with its application. Maybe they could do something with the formulation?

I am a firm believer that you shouldn't really wash your hair every single day. My friends have been mocking me for my hair routine and they always say that I am just too lazy to wash my hair. Well, that's also one factor lol.
Because not washing your hair can be a bit irritating especially with the weather we have here, the solution is to use a dry shampoo. I have been looking for the perfect dry shampoo that will fit my budget. I have tried using the one from Bench before which I think is only Php175. It works fine but I find that the product really doesn't last that long. It would be empty in just 2 weeks of usage. So I tried another Dry Shampoo by a line called Hello Gorgeous. It is sold at Php220. The ingredients are all simple and natural (Arrow Root Powder, Lavender Essential Oil, Tea Tree Oil and Water). The packaging looks so cute and the bottle doesn't break easily. What I don't like about this is the powder ingredient that has dried and settled at the bottom. I thought at first that the spray bottle is broken but when I opened it up, I saw that the powder is stuck in between the hose connection so it stops the product from coming out of it. I tried shaking it but the powder doesn't melt. I had to break the bottle and get the powder at the bottom. I placed it on top of a boiling or hot water to melt it. It was such a hassle. I don't know if it's just a rare case and that maybe this only happened to me, but if all of their products are like this, then that would be such a disappointment. When the powder has successfully melted, I transferred it to another spray bottle with no hose connection, like the one used for colognes. The product itself is good. When I tried spraying it on my hair, I instantly felt the result. It got rid of the oils in my hair. When your hair has completely dried, it would feel like your hair is a bit powdery. You know that feeling when you sprinkle powder on your hair, that's what it feels like. It doesn't bother me, though. But if you don't like that feeling, this product might not be for you because the feeling lasts for quite a while. It doesn't have a smell which is okay because I would prefer it rather than having a strong scent on my hair. I liked that it really lasted for a few hours longer than the one I tried from Bench. I used it in the afternoon and it still feels dry by midnight. I would give this product a 3 out of 5 stars. It is really great except for the hassle that I went through just to melt the powder inside. I had to shake the bottle every now and then and I am not ready for that kind of commitment. I say that it's great especially given that it's a homemade product and the ingredients are all natural. It has a generous amount with 100 ml of product in it. I don't think I would repurchase it if there will still be a problem with the bottle. But for those looking for a cheaper dry shampoo alternative, you might want to try this. So I recently got free samples of Dr Belmeur products from The Face Shop, and I tried using them for a few weeks. This is totally not sponsored and you get these free samples when you buy from The Face Shop. Their products have two categories. One is "Daily Repair" which is for dry and delicate skin and the other is "Clarifying" which is for oily and blemished skin. I have combination skin and the samples I've received are a mixed of both category so I tried all of them. Not all at once, though. I would include one product at a time on my skin care routine and once it's empty I would make a review. Basically, this review of all the products took quite a while to finish but I do hope this will help you decide whether you want to try them out or not. Here are my honest opinions on each product. Foam Cleanser (Daily Repair) This is a very gentle cleanser. I like foamy cleansers because the bubbles make me feel like the product really does the job of getting rid of all the oils and dirt from my face. This product, though, is not as foamy as the other cleansers I have used before. However, you can still feel like your face becomes really clean after. It smells like a dishwashing liquid which doesn't bother me because it is a clean smell and it's not too strong, but if you don't like that kind of smell, that might be a little turn off for you. After washing my face, it doesn't feel tightening. My skin feels soft and it does not irritate my sensitive skin. Toner Lotion Tonique (Daily Repair) This comes in a bottle where you can twist off the cap to get some product. I actually didn't like its packaging because it's hard to control how much product will come off. The opening is as big as the cap itself if you were to imagine that. I had this horrible experience where I accidentally bumped it without the cap and all of the products spilled. Also when I was still using it, I didn't like how it felt on the skin. It's a bit tacky. It is probably because it has a lotion kind of formula. It really does feel like you put on a lotion on your face. It's a bit thicker than other toners I've tried. The stickiness, however, is gone once you put on your moisturizer. The skin absorbs it easily and it doesn't break out my sensitive skin. Moisturizer Hydratant (Daily Repair and Clarifying) I have tried the moisturizer both from the Daily Repair and Clarifying Collection. It feels the same so I am just writing down one review for both of them. This moisturizer feels very light on the skin. A little goes a long way, indeed. It is clear and I don't think it has a strong scent. The skin absorbs it easily and it doesn't feel sticky at all. I really like this product. The Clarifying Moisturizer was the one that worked best for me since I have oily skin. It definitely helped in controlling the oil in my face. Daily Repair Ato Salt Cream At first, I did not know what it is used for. It does not have any instruction on the packaging so I had to look up its purpose. I learned that it has mineral salt cream for deep moisturization and itch relief for dry skin. It definitely looks and feels like a regular moisturizer. It does not have small particles of sea salt as I was expecting. It feels very light on the skin and a little goes a long way as well. However, since my skin is oily, the product does not get absorbed as fast. This product is really for dry skin. It does not have a scent at all so if you prefer that, you might want to try it out. Plus it is not only used for the face, so if you have dry areas on your arms or legs, you can apply it there. These products are a bit pricey but if you have sensitive skin and you haven't found your perfect cleanser or moisturizer yet, you might want to give it a shot. I have a sensitive skin but it did not break me out. All of these are very gentle and I like how the packaging looks. It is very simple which makes it aesthetically pleasing.
If you have balding eyebrows and eyelashes just like me, that is probably the reason why you are here. Am I right? Amirite?? You might be like “eh, that’s not balding”, but gurl that’s close up you can even see my large pores. Tragedy awaits when I zoom it out. So there, I searched for natural ways where I can grow them and I came across this product called Castor Oil. I bought mine in Watsons last January 2017. I forgot for how much but it’s incredibly cheap I think it I got it for more or less Php50. Since then, I have started using it. But I get lazy most days so I do not apply it religiously. Only when I remember lol. So now it’s been like 4 months and here are the results. There is no drastic change but if you look closely there has definitely been a hair growth. My eyebrows and eyelashes have been thicker. (I’m sorry I don’t pluck my eyebrows. I don’t know how and I’m scared I’m just a smol bean lol. Pls forgive me.) You can also see that I have milia on my right eyelid. I thought it was hopeless and I would just have to live with them forever. So I am shocked when I saw this comparison. I found out that castor oil is also good with getting rid of milia. So all in all, I give this product a 4/5 rating. It surely makes a difference but it definitely takes time for you to actually see it. You need to be patient. As I have said I do not use it regularly but it still has an effect on me so what more if you include it in your daily routine? Plus it has a lot of benefits and uses. A bottle of this product can last you a long time. I definitely recommend it and I would absolutely continue to use it and maybe I can post another update? Before. After.
