I am not taking credit for this idea because I just found it somewhere on Pinterest but I think it’s cool and experimental so I just wanted to try it. What you have to do is to put your music on shuffle and then list down the first ten songs that will play. Now, just listing them down is quite boring so I wanted to write some things about each song and what it reminds me of. I dare you to do this as well and share it with the world because... why not? You might surprise yourself in five years and be like “That song was on my playlist?! Wow I had a great taste in music.” ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯
1. La Vie En Rose – Daniela Andrade This was the first song that played and boy, oh, boy, I enjoyed it. It is very calming and I really like this version by Daniela Andrade because her voice is so soothing. It reminds me of the movie Monte Carlo which was set in Paris. So much aesthetic and giving me princess vibes. 2. The Good Side – Troye Sivan He just released this song and I’m quite surprised the first time I heard it. I was expecting some bops but this is definitely not one of those. It’s an emotional and meaningful song. I heard it’s about Connor Franta but it might be just rumour. Still, I am heartbroken because I used to ship them so hard and it’s tragic and beautiful at the same time. 3. Moon River – Audrey Hepburn I like listening to songs like this when my ears are tired of all the bops in the world. The first time I heard it was on “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” so I have no idea if that is where it originally came from, but I like Audrey’s version already so it doesn’t matter. 4. There For You – Martin Garrix, Troye Sivan Wow another song from Troye. Is it that obvious that I like listening to him? It’s a good bop and has some catchy tunes but I think he had better songs especially from Blue Neighbourhood and TRXYE. 5. ILYSB – STRIPPED – LANY I honestly didn’t know that this song has other versions so I am not sure if this one’s the original. My cousin once played another version and I got so confused because I am so used to this stripped version and I like it better anyways. 6. Superficial Love – Ruth B. I love her voice so much. There was a time when I only listened to this song on repeat as well as her other song, Lost Boy, which instantly became one of my favourites of all time. 7. Scars To Your Beautiful – Alessia Cara I also love Alessia’s unique voice. The song is beautiful as well as the message it’s trying to convey. This is a breath of fresh air from all the songs about the booties and the hoes. 8. Perfect Strangers – Jonas Blue, JP Cooper The first time I heard it was from Conor Maynard’s younger sister. Bruh, that girl can sing. I especially like how she did it slower than the original and with the use of a piano. It’s just beautiful I might have cried a bit. 9. Fresh Eyes – Andy Grammer I’ve been hearing this song everywhere when it came out and I just got curious until I looked it up. It’s so catchy and I could imagine myself dancing along to it. Embarassingly. 10. Miss Jackson – Panic! At The Disco, LOLO Great band. Great song. It makes me remember the good old times when I wasn’t into YouTube yet and I had to wait and watch the countdown on TV until its music video would play on MTV and MYX. It was the golden times. There you have it. I can’t wait to do this again next time and see how much my playlist has changed. I like this idea because I honestly can’t pick my top 10 favourite songs and this is another cool way of listing down ten songs. I am definitely going to look back at this in the future when I’m 80 and I will brag at my grandchildren how the music in my generation is better than theirs.
