Literally the longest time I have ever procrastinated. It took me more than a year to finally get to it but here they are, the things that I got last 2018 as my Christmas gifts. The first ever year in my life where I received so many stuff, and I am truly grateful. Food for my sweet tooth Starbucks coffee cup Lotion, body wash, body scrub, and powder Perfumes Notebooks, notepad and highlighter Hygiene kit which is really helpful for travel Peppermint and ginger balm, and massager that is good for pain relief and headache Hand sanitizer and cream Phone ring, wallet, and bracelets Travel organizer Cath Kidston bag Glass lunch box
After 10 decades, here's the not-so-long-awaited second part of my Taytay Haul this year. Shameless self-promo, here's the first one if you missed it - https://whoapotato.weebly.com/home/taytay-haul-2018. This one is bigger and better. Also, I finally know how to commute to Taytay from Makati. You just have to ride a UV with a signboard that says "Tikling/Junction". Just tell the driver to drop you off at Tikling/Junction, then walk across the street. You will see some jeepneys but you have to ride the one that is on the way to Taytay Market. When you get there, just walk across the street from Jollibee if I remember it right lol basta there's a fastfood there and then surprise surprise there's the tiangge. I went there on a holiday so the transportation was not that difficult and long. I think we were there in less than an hour. I was worried that most of the stores will be closed since it was a holiday but I took a risk because it was a Monday which was their schedule for "bagsakan". Worth the risk! All of the stores were open and there were a lot to choose from it was honestly overwhelming. Gurl, I be like Sharpay singing "I Want It All". Okay but is it just me that gets so lazy to write a blog post thinking you're so sabaw you didn't even know what to write but then once you have finally forced yourself to start writing, you don't even know how you got to the fourth paragraph? Just me? Alrighty. I should stop rambling and go on with the haul sis I'm sorry. Ooohh look at the quality of this pic tho. Online sellers all over the world are shaking. Lol jk. Cropped Sweater - P250 This cropped sweater (I get so confused with sweatshirt and sweater like bij I'm too lazy to google the difference so forgive me if I use the term incorrectly from time to time. I only know what's a hoodie because hello there's a hood I wish there's also an obvious thing like that in sweaters or sweatshirts so I could tell which is which.) spoke to me in so many levels the first time I saw it. It was more expensive than the usual Taytay price but sis it's an overrun from Forever 21. I don't know if overruns are actually overruns but when I checked the label, it looked legit. The fabric doesn't feel cheap at all. It's actually thick but not super like it still works for our weather. It's also really soft. I think that I could get a lot of wear from this because this a super basic top that I could pair with literally anything. It's a classic too so this would never go out of style, momma's gonna get the value for her money. Pants - P110 My camera's not giving it justice (not surprised tbh) but the first two pants are of different colors. The first one is just the classic black one, the second is a dark olive green, the last is beige. They look classy in person and I like the ribbon that makes it a bit girly. This is perfect for work. The fabric is so soft and stretchy. I mean P330 for three pants? You could only buy one with that price in malls sis. Cropped polo shirt - P100 I'm in love with the first two designs. They look so expensive plus I've heard that horizontal stripes are good to make an illusion that you're thinner. It also reminds me of Liza Koshy because this is her go to casual look, just cropped polo shirts paired with any basic trouser or shorts. The third one looks better in person. It has floral designs but to be honest, I'm not that in love with it. Maybe someone would appreciate it more than me, it's just that I'm not really a fan of florals. I just bought it so I could get the 3 for P100 each lol (I think it'd be cheaper if I just bought the 2 that I actually like smh). Oh yeah I forgot to mention that I'm posting the wholesale price. 3 pieces are considered wholesale. If you're just going to buy one, add P10 and that's the original price. Shorts - P85 I legit squealed when I first saw these hanging. I was so sure that I was going to buy them. I even promised myself that when I go back I'm going to buy more. They have really great quality. The fabric is not thin at all. The stitches are even. The first two are high-waisted and perfect to pair with anything. It doesn't appear on camera but the first one is dark olive green. I preferred that more than the black one because it looks classier and softer on the eyes. The third one isn't high-waisted but it still looks good when worn. I love the plaid pattern. I also do like the ribbon around it but unfortunately it's sewn so if I have days when I don't feel too girly to wear a ribbon, I'd still have no choice. All of them have pockets, too, which is definitely a plus. Bang for the buck! Shirt - P60 These are also really nice purchases. I got super excited when I saw these. I was already planning to buy these before I even went to Taytay. I really had to go around the tiangge several times to find the best deal but these are the cheapest I could find. I thought they could be sold to as low as P50, but still with the quality of this shirt, it's worth the price anyways. They're so soft. It feels really good on the skin. It's not that thin as well. I like the pink and mustard yellow ones. Not a fan of the red, I'd prefer a different shade or maybe if the stripes are of the same size as the first two. Again, I just bought that so I could get them for the wholesale price. I'm not actually saving with this kind of thinking lol. The prints are very aesthetically pleasing, very vintage-y especially the mustard yellow. It's very much on trend to the point that I literally see everyone wearing it lol. I sometimes question myself if I would wear it because I get so scared that I would unintentionally match with someone. It looks cute no doubt, but who wants to wear a shirt that literally everyone has? So if you're planning to buy this, I'd suggest choose a different color if you want to be different. High waisted jeans - P250 I've been looking for the perfect high waisted jeans since forever. I didn't own one so I got excited when I found this. It's the perfect fit and it is indeed high waisted. It's just that whenever I sit with this on, it falls down to my hips, so it's not flattering when I stand because the crotch part would be way too low. It doesn't have a strap where I could insert a belt. This is such a bummer because I really like how it fits me and the fabric is not that thick but it's not too thin as well. It's very comfy and stretchy. This is more like a jegging. It is fine whenever I wear this just standing up or walking, but the moment I sit, it just slips down. Ugh, still on the hunt for the perfect high waisted jeans. Blazer with shorts - P250 Now I'm going to need your imagination with this one. Please imagine that these were ironed out and placed on the hanger nicely - then it'd be my best purchase out of this haul. I mean, P250 and you get a blazer with a pair shorts? Thank you, Jesus. The fabric is not super soft, but hopefully it will turn into one once I wash it. It looks big but once worn, the size is just right for me. I don't think someone bigger than me would fit into this which is kind of disappointing because this is the only size they have. I just wish everyone could get to try this because it's very affordable. This outfit is giving me Girl Boss vibes. I haven't tried the shorts yet but hopefully they'd look good. I'm having doubts with the way it looks and the way it would fit me I don't think it would be flattering lol. I prefer the other shorts I got. It's garterized at the back so you could stretch it out. Overall, I'm in love with this. I like the color which is very classy and trendy, it looks more expensive than it actually is. I'd like to go back and get it in other colors and pattens! So there goes my Taytay haul, hope you found this helpful. Here's to more hauls in the future! Wow this blog post is SO long overdue. We went to Taytay Tiangge last April and A LOT has happened since then. I was able to wear these clothes to different special events already. I only got 4 items but I am so pleased with them. They are way cheaper compared to the ones you can buy in the malls. The first thing that I got is this pink hoodie. I wore it when I went to Glorietta to see Cole Sprouse. I thought it was the perfect outfit since we’d be inside the mall for a long time to wait for him. I had to wear something that is comfy and would protect me even if it gets cold. The material is not super soft and thick but I still like it since I also do not have to worry when I step out of the mall and then it would get hot. The only thing I didn’t like about this is the string because it looks like a freaking shoelace. I hope they’d just remove the aglet knowhatimsayn. Btw I got this for around Php120 I think. I honestly don't remember anymore. It's been 5 months, forgive me LOL. My cousin got another one from the same store but it is cropped and the material is softer. It is also cheaper. So if you want some cropped hoodie, you can get it there as well. I also found this coat which was really one of my targets since I saw this in a haul on YouTube. At first I wasn’t sure with the color. I had to choose between two shades of brown and the other one is brighter than this. I also liked that one so idk I still wish I could just get them both. But I just settled with this one for now, my friend actually chose for my indecisive self lol. There are loads of other colors there but I just preferred a brown one so I could match it with any outfit. I wore it at the Bruno Mars concert with a sweatshirt inside. Not the hoodie I was wearing in this photo lol. I was just too lazy to remove it. When I first tried it on, I thought it looked more formal than casual. It’s probably because of the shoulder part. Still this is a steal for its price. The quality of this isn’t so bad. There’s a string on the waist so you could tighten it, and it also comes with a hood. I think I got this for Php180. This skirt is what I paired with the coat at the concert. I was looking for a different skirt with buttons on the front but I couldn’t find one. The color of this is army green which does not register properly on the photo. It doesn’t give it justice but it looks cute in person. It is not leather but the material is thick enough to maintain its shape. It is also very comfortable. I just wanted go back to Taytay to find more skirts lol. I got everything else in Bagpi aside from this one. I don't remember the store now huhu. I think this was sold for Php130. The last thing I am showing you is actually the first thing that I bought. This was also one of my targets. I saw a jumper dress before this which I’m glad I didn’t buy because I like the material of this one better. The first one is made out of really soft cotton and it looked cheaper for me. I wore this last YTFF with a white shirt inside. I also think it would look cute with a white jumper inside but I don’t have that one so yeah. I'm pretty sure it costs Php150.
This was the first time that I went to Taytay and I didn’t even know how to get there on my own since my uncle just drove us there. But recently my friend just told me an easy way of commuting there from our place so I finally had my second round of Taytay Shopping where I got way cheaper and a whole more of clothes. Part 2 of my haul coming soon! |
